@Bonkers1 Yes, Shelties shed a lot, but they are my favorite breed. They are smart, beautiful, quirky, athletic and make great watch dogs. No one can walk up to my house without being detected.

Shelties due tend to bark a lot. They are a herding breed. I have lived with 1 since 1976. They are all special.

I definitely believe in that.

My rescue was unbelievable, and he lived for 18 years.

He was so much a part of me. One example and I remember it quite often: I was very seriously worried about my seven year old son one evening, not home yet and I was nervously walking back and forth, back forth, and I suddenly noticed my beloved dog was anxiously walking back and forth, back and forth with me. 

He's been gone for 30 years, and I remember so many many times and will never forget him.
