On air Testimonial Texts -no calls

Anyone notice the new  Text testimonials  rather than the   on air phone calls .  Guess, since it takes both   Hosts to manage  talking and  displaying  merchandise , they are now taking texts  rather  than the computer lap top  for chat . This gives a little more control to avoiding  some calls that are cringy or drag on ..

They are still taking on air phone calls too.

I think they're trying a combination of all methods.

I like the text idea.

The phone calls are...........exhausting. (I'm trying to be kind.)

I like it, too, in that it's preferable to live calls. In my opinion, it's a lot better than live phone calls. I wouldn't even classify those calls as testimonials. Most callers are not testifying to anything about QVC or the product. I'm not without sympathy for the folks that feel the need to divulge personal sobstories but I don't see how calls like that help QVC's bottom line. I cry almost every day for my husband who passed over a year ago, but I am not going to talk on air about it. Yes, I'm sort of doing that now, here, typing about it, but I think talking to a host and a vendor and a TV audience is a bit much.

Re: On air Testimonial Texts -no calls

I've heard a couple of the texts in the last couple of days. Pretty good idea. Personally, I wish they would go to this method of testimonials exclusively. The calls are just a bit much. It's not only because of the nature of what some callers choose to speak about, but also because they all seem awkward to me- delays cause people to speak over each other. When you have a host, guest/vendor, and caller all trying to speak it just doesn't work well. Automatic mute for me if I'm in the room and one comes on. Just my opinion, and I mean no offense to the callers.

I have compassion for those callers that have lost loves, have health challenges, are down on their luck, etc etc.

You can tell it makes them feel better having the capability of calling someone they respect and adore.

And then there’s Kim Gravel, Renee Greenstein, Mark Peters and a few other great human beings that choose to help by getting their information to reach out to them.

I’m guessing either by sending them items or maybe the books they wrote to lift them up.

Sometimes it really is the little things in life that can be done to help others. 💕

I'm ok with the texts but I wonder if they pick and chose which ones to read.

Last week when Ali and Alberti debuted it on SMQ they noted "maybe we'll read your text on air!"

I have no doubt that they are screened before the host reads them, and they probably receive ones that couldn't be repeated on air.

It's an easy way to screen out inappropriate comments.
