I was just listening to a local TV station. They were giving the top rated "Songs to inspire love and passion". I didn't catch where the list was from, but they were getting a jump start on Valentines Day.
Two of my favorites were on the list:
I'll be your baby tonight - Bob Dylan(talk about a mood setter, love that harmonica)
I Love You - Sarah McLachlan(just a beautiful, sensuous song)
On the honorable mention list -
We've got tonight- BoB Seger (another mood setter) I like a lot of Seger's work and I really like this one!
Song For A Winter's Night - Gordon Lightfoot
(what can you say, at his best, can anyone tell a story better than Gordon?)
SO what's on your list?

A Song For You, performed by the composer, Leon Russell. I loved that man. Still do.
Someday I will commission a painting set to the lyrics. It has to do with a reclining nude in B&W (Picasso-esque) and a blank calendar and a clock with no hands.
I have several friends that paint, who have declined. I may just do it myself.

My husband and I never did have or need a love song to get things going. I don't ever remember having music on when we were together. Uh Oh, maybe that's because I broke up with a guy when I found out he listened to John Denver and even had second thoughts about my fiance, my now husband, when I visited him at his apartment and saw he listened to Dolly Parton.LOL

Full disclosure. My late husband and I were inseparable from the night we met. We were married in less than 3 months from that day. It would have been even sooner but we couldn't get the small church at Ft Myer Va any sooner.
He learned to play the guitar and would sing to me. There were just a few of the songs he'd sing to me. He'd write poetry about how much he loved me.
He was truly an amazing man. Seems like the good one's leave us early.
