One song that I love, doesnt really fit the category , is 

"The Road", by Emmy Lou Harris. 

 

It's a tribute to her relationship with Gram Parsons and it's haunting and beautiful.  

 

Emmy Lou has always insisted that their relationship was not physical; he was married and deeply ensnared, by drug addiction.  She fell in love with him, but he died of an overdose at 26.  They were musical soulmates, but anything more, wasn't destined to be.
