I had none of those things.  My wedding was non-traditional and small.

My engagement ring has a sapphire as the main stone--September girl.

My parents also gave me a necklace that was my grandmother's for my birthday that was just 2 months before my wedding and it was a sapphire stone as well. The borrowed was a penny in my shoe from my roommate from college.

Old was the hoop slip that I wore under my full gown, new was my beautiful lace gown, borrowed my Mom's pearl drop earrings and wore a blue garter. I was a blushing bride 51 years ago this March when the photographer told me to pull up my gown to show off the blue garter as my dh and my 3 bridesmaids looked on.  I was so sure that my gown was up to my waist.  I still have the blue garter & It has our wedding date engraved on it.

Re: Something blue

[ Edited ]

My wedding bouquet was multi color bright tropical flowers which included blue iris for my something blue. I also wore an ankle bracelet that had one little blue glass bead on it.

The former and current and still "MrsSweetieBear".
