But hopefully you didn't mean it when you said you haven't forgiven him...right?
@monicakm I am still angry with him about taking something precious to me and throwing it out. It has great sentimental value to me, it was part of who I am and i was something my late Mother bought for me

@DSD2 what a kind thing to say! We don't have children, so our dogs have always been our kids. Whatever they needed or wanted, they got. They never lacked for anything a day in their lives. They were both rescues, too. We were particularly close to these last two dogs, which is why it hurt so badly. It's been almost a year and a half, and I still can't walk down the streets where I used to walk our larger dog that needed longer walks. But in time, I'm sure we will have another one.

I am sure there are things if I thought about it hard enough but to be honest nothing is popping in my head. Maybe some childhood toys would be fun.

I don't know about you, but I haven't made it 45 years with the same man by not forgiving him (and vice versa). What a wonderful gift it would be for your marriage and you if you told him that you forgive him and ask him if he could forgive you for holding a grudge for so long. I'll go ahead and apologize now for sticking my nose in your business.

@Roscoe the Rascal Excuse me marriage is for thick and thin, this is something that meant a lot to me and maybe the correct word is hurt not grudge. I would never divorce over a little thing.

I received the original Barbie doll for my 11th birthday but two years later I sold it
to a neighbor girl because I thought I was too old for dolls!

@going to Carolina That is a tough one!
I had an original Barbie and bought outfits with my allowance. I kept them safely put away in a case.
My younger sister got into the case when I was not home, took them outside, and proceeded to put the doll and outfits in the mud.
I was heartbroken.
