First time for me too yesterday & to add insult the pop-up reminding me to check out  right now appeared. I keep trying to buy the blouse because my size is still there but SO when checking out...oh well.

Sounds like a new technique for QVC to get people to buy (whether or not they return it) so their numbers look good.  Afterall, the hosts are constantly saying, "get it now while we have your size because it's the ONLY ORDER OF THE YEAR!"

So they are pushing spur-of-the-moment buying.  Sad that it has come to this.

Glad to hear CS did confirm this new change (not holding a item in the cart for 1hr) just happened Thursday March 6....I just experienced it this Saturday during free shipping day of course!

 

I understand them not letting the carts to hold items for 1 hour but they should at least keep it updated when you are on the item page and placing item in cart.  It shows as available then you hit checkout and finally then you are told it was actually sold out.

 

I still see items that are in my saved area down below showing sold out or available.  BUT I then selected the available item to move to cart and check out...NOPE sold out pops up again.  

 

I hope they fix that part of this new change.....also I can't see how you can even get those specials with buy 1 get the other $3 off.  Thinking when they do that on tops....oh well this will cut into my purchasing during live presentations as I noticed it was impossible to buy a item yesterday on free ship day.

 

I did buy a few things I wanted that were not on air so that worked out but forget about new items live show LOL!

I didn't buy a thing yesterday during free shipping.  There were a few things in my wishlist, but I think I'm just "shopped out" at the moment.

 

One thing this thread made me think of though, when someone mentioned being able to get a purchase to go through on a different device.

 

This past week I had to set up a new online account for a store CC that's being handled by another bank now.  I went on my desktop as usual and even after several attempts couldn't get it to work.

 

Finally, did a live chat and the CS rep asked if I could use a different browser.  At first, I said no, but then decided to use my iPad.  Guess what?  Worked straight away!  She said it's likely something to do with cookies on different browsers.

 

It might be a similar thing that's happening with QVC's system right now.  It shouldn't make any difference to the customers which browser they're using, but it appears it does.

Same has happened to me all week.  QVC is doing system changes and it has been very bothersome.  Items that show available when putting in cart, only to find out that they are not available at all during checkout.  System is not updated as it once did.

That popup just adds to the frustration.  "Hurry up selling quickly" when it's sold out.  Ugh.
