I signed up at a local office and very glad I did.  Somehow through the years, they had part of my name wrong.  They said it would have been a real problem if I had gone online to do it.  Took us a little longer but all's well that ends well.

You can apply online or call the main number 

Then you will receive a letter directing the next steps, usually through your local office 

Again, they might field it all through the mail.

Seamless action and the process is calculated by birthdates,

Benefits, and requirements.  Marital status, Citizenship, paperwork.
