I came in a bit late to the QVC "party" been a customer for about 8 years....so I never saw Kathy Levine, Mike Rowe etc etc....and I realize QVC will never go back to the same merchandise that they had years ago---Tiffany Lamps, collectibles, quilts, even art work, nice jewelry at reasonable prices, different styles of home decor........BUT COME ON QVC...all your doing is bringing in the same BORING products you've shown all year long, but putting a bow on them and calling them "gifts"(whcih no one I know would want for a gift-huimidifers, yet another vacuum, a ladder, Keurig, windshield cover, throws, electronic chargers, outdated electronics, and of course a camera).........ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!  All I have to do is check my program guide, or take a peek while flipping channels and flip right by....for my gift giving I chose other sources...sorrry QVC you lost me as an option of Christas gift giving and from the many threads about the offerings, other customers feel the same way........

And the thing is, they do it EVERY year... The same tired array of 'practical' qwap (and poo pourri to try to wipe away the stench)... These boards are rife with negative commentary about their holiday programming and gift offerings and yet I'd bet they'll do the exact same thing again next year... If ever a company was on autopilot, this one is... It's awful and unwatchable...

@stevieb

Your totally right! Whoever is in charge of  buying is definitely on autopilot and their gift giving is nothing but reruns (they might as well rerun last year's programming with a disclaimer --prices subject to change, check the website for current prices"....

But ya know STEVIE this year appears to be something "special"...something EXTRA BAD...a touch worse than previous years...if you can believe it........more repetition in presentations and they've seemed to scale down the product offerings even more.....Woman Frustrated

@Spurt I think that's true. I haven't watched a single show but looking online it absolutely looks worse than it ever has before. That might explain why not a single gift was purchased this year at QVC. I got everything elsewhere. God willing and we're all still around for another year, I suspect that by next year I won't even be checking to see what they're offering. You know, it would almost be funny if it wasn't such a shame.

@stevieb

Although my gift list is small.....not one thing purchased from the Q by me either......Its almost laughable how they have dragged out the same things for gift giving the last few years.....why I think many of us could give the presentations better than host/vendors.....you wonder if they even want to retain any customers---it looks like instead their plans seem to be they want to make sure to SCARE us away!..............

Re: So disappointed in Q programming

@Spurt Scare us away or bore us into submission... Well, I can tell you with me, they've accomplished the former... I used to enjoy watching and shopping QVC but I finallly acknowledged it's not the company it once was and never will be again. I've also become glaringly aware that there are better options to be found almost everywhere.

It's a shame that QVC is a former shadow of itself they used to have many unique items you didnt see locally AND at reasonble prices too...Now their quality is questionable and prices not competitive, and all their clothing lines look alike and many dont suit my taste/style---no cold shoulder, or uneven hems, or peplum tops for me.......QVC may say they are offering whats on trend but I go into department stores and see many different styles ffrom which to chose at lower prices....  Same with handbags that $12 shipping is outrageous!!!  And gee do they ever even have affordable jewelry on anymore...I mean other than their fake diamonds or clad junk which should be sold at fashion jewelry prices....I find some neat kitchen gadgets in other stores and I dont need another vacuum, phone charger, throw, or outdated electronics....I guess I'm not their target audience anymore....

I did buy a couple of things from Valerie snowmen family and some deer which were reasonably priced that were different that I didnt see in HobbyLobby or Home Goods.....And I did try Harry Slatkin candles (some of the scents were hits or misses)...Luminara candles I can find at Bed Bath & Beyond or Hobby Lobby and can use coupons and no shipping charges......

Re: So disappointed in Q programming

I agree, the programming has been nothing but terrible.

I was watching this this morning while reading the Sunday paper, and Carolyn had the call number block item on. She said it was new today....it isn’t. It’s been on and on and on, and frankly I wish I had waited to get this because a few months ago I invested in a phone with the call block feature built in. Anyway, maybe it was new to her, but really. Either that or she was trying to think is things to say about it.

i have tried to watch the shows lately, but I can’t. The same with Zulily. Same stuff over and over, and the things is have ordered have come broken or missing parts.

My my husband keeps telling me to go back to shopping in stores..but is difficult when your pretty much housebound and cannot drive.

Your right they had the call blocker on before...........but QVC has its own definition of new.......For those that are homebound or live in rural areas....there are other retailers you can buy from online, however, the big advantage QVC has is seeing the product deomonstrated via TV....but its just the same number of limited products...its like they dont take advantage of their biggest asset and expand their product offerings............Instead of 2 channels and Beauty IQ online, cant we have one decent shopping channel from QVC.....And they now even show the same product on both channels at the same time....so I just change the channel and dont watch and dont buy!

Re: So disappointed in Q programming

I've even begun to wonder if much of their offerings are repetitive because the items are from old inventory that they just keep bringing back in the hopes of getting rid of it.  Did they finally get rid of that flash pad, I wonder?????
