Re: So, Who Assassinated JFK?

@golding76

Hey,I thought about you.  I have a book recommendation for you.  I just finished reading "Double Cross" by Sam Giancana and Chuck Giancana.  It was published in 1992.  the authors are father and son.  Chuck is the brother of  mobster Sam "Mooney" Giancana.  It was one of the best mob books I have ever read.  I think you will like it.  It's not gory. I bought my book from ebay.  Have a good day!

Lee Harvey Oswald at Russia's bidding.

He previously defected to the USSR, and married a Russian woman.

I know, Russia, Russia, Russia.

Even back then.

Throughout the decades, we have seen and/or read multiple theories of who or what organization was behind the assasination of President John F. Kennedy.

In the end, I think the CIA, which was led by Allen Dulles at the time, orchestrated the assasination with the help of mobsters.  Mobster John Roselli, as I recall, was on a private plane that landed at a smaller airfield in or near Dallas.  He got off and was to return to resume his flight; he never did.  Having once been hired by the CIA to "take out" Fidel Castro, I think he was the selected hit man for JFK.  Roselli probably made his way to the area of the Book Depository after having disembarked from that plane.

In the late 1970s, Roselli, who had been ordered to appear before the U.S. Senate Select Committe on Intelligence, did appear once but was MIA for his second summoned appearance.

After a month, he was found decaying in a steel drum floating in a bay off Miami.

Re: So, Who Assassinated JFK?

[ Edited ]

I can’t believe after all this time, so many are still obsessed with conspiracy theories. We are in Dallas...we had a friend from out of state who came to visit last summer. Hadn’t seen him in many years and we were really looking forward to it; had all sorts of things planned. The first thing he said when he arrived was “can we go see the Sixth Floor museum tomorrow?” That is all he wanted to do. He spends many hours online every night “ researching” the assassination. I think that was a big reason for his divorce.

I remember the day of the assassination as if it were yesterday. I was home from school with a bad cold. I saw the whole thing play out on local tv. My bff's mom worked with Tippett...we spent many Saturdays watching movies at the Texas theater. I went to the Texas Schoolbook depository many times on Saturdays with my mom, who was a teacher,  to pick up books for her classroom. I spent many of those days peering out the very windows on the sixth floor that are now seen in photos everywhere. We watched Jack Ruby kill Oswald on live tv while we were eating at a friends restaurant. He had put a tv in the dining room due to customers wanting to follow the "breaking news" that had been happening all around us in our own area for the previous few days....it was very surreal. Even the sunset the same day was dark and ominous-looking after jfk died.i still believe it was Oswald alone who killed JFK. Too much evidence points to that and every other scenario requires some degree of speculation.

Re: So, Who Assassinated JFK?

I am sure Jackie did it.

iseriously, it was A very horrible, sad  day in time ,that has lasted to this very day.. Oswald did it. Just as Sirhan killed RFK, Chapman killed Lennon...irrational, sick minds blended with mental illness, addiction and conspiracy theories

Since the very beginning I have believed Lyndon Johnson was responsible.  No, he didn't pull the trigger, but could have easily made it known he wanted Kennedy gone.  After reading Robert Caro's three books about LBJ, I am convinced Johnson was behind the assasination.

@this is my nic  Me too!  I live in DC suburbs and watched LBJ during his years....the only good thing that came from him while he was in office was Lady Bird's Pedernales River Chili recipe!

I mean, there's also the Civil Rights Act of 1964. But sure... chili is also good.

LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act, but he was a very hateful racist.

Have you ever listened to his recorded phone calls and how,he spoke about his hatred of black folks? It is sickening.

Re: So, Who Assassinated JFK?

The Kennedy boys were very powerful, dangerous characters , even the Russian's were afraid of them. Read the book, Parting with Illusions, it's an eye opener.

Re: So, Who Assassinated JFK?

I always felt that Lyndon Johnson had a hand in the assassination.  If Oswald was involved he was not alone.
