The early 90s for me, I think. Not sure what made me tune in the first time, probably channel surfing and saw something that peaked my interest. First purchase was salt & pepper shakers, still some of my favorite purchases. Second, Rick convinced me that I needed a ring he was showing. I don't even want to know how much I've spent over the years. I remember people calling in and saying they'd been customers since it was something else, not QVC (can't remember what it used to be but I didn't watch back then.) Things have surely changed since I first started, and not for the better.

When the Q began so many years ago as CVN, that's when I applied to become a member. They sent out a membership card reflecting their call letters "CVN" - I think I still have this member card too!
Those were the days, great hosts including Jane Treacey when she'd host her once a month 4 full fun hours of Sunday Silver Style! This is how I really got started collecting sterling silver jewelry. Jane always had great pieces, very affordable, stylish, from the smallest demure to WOW sterling pieces, I still have so many stunning pieces, bracelets mostly and a few FAB huge gemstone filled pins.
Then there were the fashion designers of all sorts of fabulous designs, styles of clothing pieces, a lot I also still have. If you've been here as long as I have, you'd remember these house brand names as well designers.
Those were the days of great shopping and buying here at now what we call QVC.

In 1990, after CVN folded. Saw Toni Price selling SW jewelry. She had been a CVN host - Didn't know she joined QVC. Nice to see a familiar face.

1990's for me. I can't recall if my first purchase was a slipcover for an old coach or a Joan Rivers watch & bracelet set lol

@Goodie2shoes wrote:For me it was around 2009. I was off work recovering from carpal tunnel surgery. I was lying in bed channel surfing and came across QVC. I ended up purchasing a fancy curtain rod of some sort ( I no longer have it) I've been hooked ever sense !
So what's your story ?
@Goodie2shoes I don't recall my first purchase but I recall when QVC started - before it was called QVC. My first purchase was probably bare minerals.

you know, it's been so long ago, I don't even remember! But people drove around in those vehicles like Fred & Wilma did.
