So Upset With ShopHQ Customer Service

I am seeing red at the moment. Last month I ordered a Samuel Benham bracelet from ShopHQ. They sent me the wrong color, so I called CS and the rep told me to use their return label to send the item back and I would not be charged for the label and receive a full refund including my original shipping fee. Well, today, I am looking at my credit card statement and see that not only was I charged for their return label, they also deducted that original $6.99 shipping fee from my refund. I call and explain what has happened and that rep disconnects the call and sends me directly to their survey on how well my problem was handled. I had to call again and go through the whole spill to yet another CS rep. I had been very nice, but, by then I was fuming! 

 

I will not be purchasing anything else from them.

@Sapphiregal   So tell us, did the second CS rep refund all the fees you were charged?

I found out years ago that you lose money every time you return anything. That's why I never, ever buy anything unless I am positive about the size and fabric, etc. if it doesn't work, I sell it on Nextdoor.

I don't think that is totally true!  If you have to return defects/damaged, wrong sizes/colors/items received...you get every penny back.

 

I also try to only order what is a guaranteed keeper!

@Sapphiregal, their CS can be a real nightmare.  For years I didn't shop with them over a bad experience.  I had ordered some clothing from the Pam McCoy line (that tells you how long ago this happened) and it was all absolute garbage and I sent it all back in 1 box, just like it was sent to me and paid the return s/h.  

 

When I got my credit, they deducted the return label fee for every single item that was in that box.  I think at that time the fee was $5.99.  When I called CS and explained, I was treated like I was trying to steal from them.  They were insistent I used their return label, that's why I was charged.  And they said it's standard that you are charged per item, not per box.  

 

The rep. put me on hold for awhile, came back and told me as a one time courtesy, they would refund those fees.  I told her it was going to be a one time thing alright because I was done with them.  I didn't order for years and then I started to dip my toe in the water.

 

My orderings from them are few and far between mostly because their items don't appeal to me for the most part and their s/h is absurd.

It's hit or miss with CS at ShopHQ, I rarely buy anything anything from them.
