If I felt the same as you? No way I would pay for 1 channel I like to watch, which happens to be the same one you mentioned.
As several probably might mention, you do not need to climb onto your roof and install an antenna. I bought one when my satellite company wasn't contracted with 1 of our local stations. That meant my wife would miss her favorite Soap.
Simple to install on about any newer TV set, ours is a 2013 model. If I want to fool with it, I can probably pick up at least 25-30 free channels, but not Fox news.
We are Amazon Prime members and they offer lots of free movies and TV rerun shows. Like any Streaming, you need to have a broadband internet provider, to be able to access those things.
With my love of ice hockey and auto racing, that alone justifies the cost of my Dish tv programming. The cost of going to 2 hockey games would cost me half of my total year expense for my programming.
Look for a good rated antenna and hook it up. Whether you will have success finding Fox news? Beats me, good luck!

@Solar Is My Name wrote:In November we dumped cable. Put Firesticks on all TVs and now have everything we want on YOUTUBE TV. (We also have Amazon Prime and Netflix, but we had those before we dumped cable.) But just going from cable to YOUTUBE TV we cut that bill in half!

@Solar Is My Name You have exactly what I have except I use Roku instead of Firesticks. I can click through all the channels and on demand I can find something interesting to watch 24/7. I watch a lot late at night. So far, for me, YouTube TV is the best streaming service.

Check out Hulu+live tv. About $80 a month and you get a Disney+ Package included. We switched 3 years ago and don't miss a thing.

Well, I've read every comment and I appreciate each one. However, now I am really confused!
Roku, fire stick, streaming....you lost me.![]()
I am going to make a change, just not sure what yet.
$155.00 is a bit much just to watch Fox News. I really don't give a rat's ****** about all the other junk on TV.

What confuses you about "Streaming"? If you your internet provider is a Cable Company or you use(as I do) a DSL provider, you can easily do streaming.
Utube allows you to "stream" a lot of it's content. You find the content you want to watch and select "yes/start/ok" or whatever the terminology is for a specific video content.
If you want to pay a Streaming Company like Netflix or Hulu, they have different priced levels, just as you are using now. Streaming after finding your source is exactly the same as "hitting Enter" on your computer. Doing that starts your Streaming Content.
As I said in my other post! Finding Fox News, not sure if you can fo so. However, an option is Fox Nation, which is a Streaming Network. It has repeats of most of its Network Shows, so you can see many of your favorite shows that you watch on Fox network.
Google "fox nation" and go from there. You do have "high speed internet" don't you? Not many still use Dialup Internet for their provider.
You have specific questions? Ask, someone can help you get unconfused(if that is a word).

I have cable and the amount of garbage channels, the stupid mindless programming offered that customers are paying dearly for, boggles the mind.
I've read that content providers market their offerings in packages: i.e., cable companies are essentially forced to buy garbage channels if they want to get the more popular channels.
And, similarly. consumers are essentially forced to buy packages that incllude the one or two popular channels along with a host of channels that are barely-watched.
I agree - an a la carte system is preferable for consumers but it would upend the existing market. We're taking baby steps in that direction.

There is NO WAY I would pay ridiculous amount(s) to cable co. or Direct TV...do not need 827 channels..or whatever.
Years ago..when we were forced to go digital, I said NO WAY..and invested in the converter box..quite reasonable..
And got many channels.
Old tv.died.. got new tv...plug in indoor antenna and get 40 channels...👍
O.k.no Kardashians😜..but who cares.
Happy..not to be paying big$$$😉
