In the past, the mods have said two clothing items could ride back in the same package for one shipping fee.  I'm going to try that and see if it works.

We ?????????   You can only speak for yourself, the return policy is not a secret.  You knew what it was when you made the purchase.  If you find that you return a lot of things and you can't afford the return charges, stop shopping with QVC.  Shop with one of those retailers that offer free returns.

I think you're missing the point.  Yes we know the shipping and return policy.  But is it right for QVC to charge for two shipments when they actually made one shipment in this case - for two orders?  So why shouldn't she be able to return both items in one bag/box and be charged for one return shipment.?

Because that's QVC's policy and it's not hidden, it's easy for shoppers to understand.  We all know what it is when we make our purchases.    So, yes.  It's "right".  We might not like it but retailers are free to make those decisions. Just as consumers are free to decide who they will shop with and who they won't shop with.

Quit blaming the unwitting customer who has no control over how the Q processes their S&H. If the Q wasn't making money from these practices they would not continue them. I will not buy anymore goods from the Q unless there is Free S&H, I hope customers follow my lead.

I think the only way you would run into a problem is if the weight of the two items exceeds what the limit is for that particular return label. And, of course, the returns have to be going to the same location.

In case someone isn't familiar with the weight limits here they are ~

0 to 5 lbs: $6.95

5.01 to 10 lbs: $8.95

10.01 to 150 lbs: $10.95

Yes, the Mods have said this a lot on the forums, so let us know how it goes for you.

If it doesn't, I would sure email the Mods!

Isn't this new warehouse/shipping extravaganza supposed to remedy this?  (If they ever manage to initiate it.)

Everyone has to make these decisions for themselves.

The shopping channels, have the overhead of running  a TV network. I don't  expect to ever see across the board free s&h.

For me, if I can't afford to pay s&h, I can't afford the purchase.  Sometimes this is an eye opener, and I realize,

I don't need this purchase.

As one as a company is up front, about their practices, I can decide whether or not. To deal with them

Except for Kim Gravelle jeans and capri's and an irish sweater I don't buy any clothing from QVC anymore.  Mainly because I don't like most lines, and I can even get the Graville  jeans on Amazon.  Used to buy Joan Rivers blouses but I can find comprable quality elseware for less.  No longer willing to pay shipping and certainly not the return charges if necessary.  To many other options out there to deal with QVC.

IMO the problem starts with SEPARATE shipping charges on two orders in ONE SHIPPED PACKAGE. There should be a shipping discount IN THE FULL AMOUNT for the lesser shipping charge.

How does one get charged shipping twice on one package?

Charge two shipping fees...mail two packages.

IMO.

EACH item has a S/H fee. We all agree on that. When we order an item we are chrged that S/H fee for that item & it is shipped in one package. If Q is going to do multiple items but ship them in one package, a reduction in the S/H fee is in order since less materials were used in the shipping process. I don't order from, Q that much any more but this is what I did on returning clothing orders; I would make sure all items could be returned at the same address, used the original plastic shipping bag to put each item in along with the return label filled out for return, & put as many packages as possible into a single large orgiinal bag & put the "return my way" label on it. I paid to ship the big original package back & I was always much cheaper than sending 3,4 or 5 packages back. Because all the items were in their own original pacakages with return documents (just in a large original bag) & going to the same place Q had all that was required. Was never charged returned postage because I PAID for return postage. Now that I have posted this I will be intersted to see if Q becomes more demanding of the way items are returned. I did everything they required - original package & documents, returning to correct adress!
