Whether he saw combat action or not, he still could have PTSD from the Iraq experience and from his time in Haiti during earthquake recovery. Fearing for your life from incoming attacks, seeing horrible things that have happened to human beings can take its toll on some. Others push it away and try to go on. War does ugly things to everyone involved one way or the other.

Well that is moot because this jury who heard the trial decided PTSD did not come into play.
