Disgust me.  They won't put their butts out in their car but they will flick it out their window so it blows back on the car behind them and litters the roads, or they won't smoke in their house but they come out in the yard and stink up the air.  And if you're lucky enough to have a window fan, it sucks it right in so you get to smell it.  Woman Mad

I just feel pity for them....they are killing themselves puff by puff....they have a death wish. So sad.🚭

It's not credible when you stereotype an entire group.

Most smokers start young, peer pressure, etc.

Cigarettes contain addictive additives.  Most people don't know that.  They don't have a death wish, they are addicts.

I think thrown cigarette butts should be considered littering and that one should be fined. I've seen where someone has emptied their ashtray out on the ground with trash cans close.

Both my parents died of smoke-related diseases. We had our problems, but they didn't disgust me. They were addicted.

I see this a lot.

Why don't smokers think their butts are trash?  Do they throw their Burger King bags out the car window too?

Some of the nicest people I know are smokers and they go out of their way not to inconvenience others with their habit, which they know is frowned upon.

Putting butts anywhere but the trash is illegal in California and probably most other places. They travel through the storm sewers and pollute San Francisco Bay and other waterways. Thank goodness it is also illegal to stand right outside buildings on the sidewalk and smoke and illegal to smoke on the balconies of apartments and condos and within 30 feet of someone else's home. That leaves inside one's one home or in the middle of the street.

addiction is terrible but second hand smoke harming innocent bystanders is worse.
