I am looking for advice since I am unexpectedly looking for a new car after the second guy in five years in a pick up truck ran a stop sign and crashed my small car.
The insurance is dragging its feet so, since I've been down this road before, I went on my own to #1 make sure the crashed car I was driving was somewhat safe and #2 if it was totaled which I was pretty sure it was.
The repair guy's quote, "Enjoy looking for your new car." ![]()
So anyone know of anyone who is happy with a small reliable car around $20,000?
Before my Fiat, I had two Toyotas which I ran into the ground and planned to do the same with the Fiat but I've been unsuccessful wiping the male species who drive pick up trucks off the face of the earth around stop signs where I live.
Thanks!

@Laura14 Hands down honda civic or toyota corolla. Have had both. I got 250,000 mildes on the civic. I would also say the honda fit would be a good choice. Honda makes the most reliable cars in my opinion. If you were looking for the best midsize sedan, you could not go wrong with the honda accord.

Anything with the word Toyota or Honda. Husband's Toyota p/u is 28 yrs old. My CRV gave me. 13 yrs of excellent use. Just got a new Chevy Trax as a second car. Can't compare

I just bought a Toyota Corolla XSE. I had a Honda Civic which I liked, but wanted the driver's seat a little higher for easy in and outs. You sit in a lower position in the Civic. I also switched to Toyota, because I had issues with my windows not opening and Honda never could fix it.

I'd agree with her! But my body goes for the Toyota.
