I used to have that problem until I discovered ID protection roller stamps. What a life saver! They are perfect for the sticky labels and labels attached to plastic bags.

See QVC Item V36498. I am giving them as Christmas gifts.

@catwhispererI was shocked recently when using one of the ID Protector roller stamps to remove my personal information on a document before emailing it to someone.  After I scanned the document, you could clearly read right through the roller ink on the screen Smiley Surprised

We had a Fellowes "small business" shredder.  Lasted us for about 11 years.  Never tried to put sticky labels or plastic mailing packages through it.  Oiled it every time we changed bags using liquid oil, NOT those lubricating sheets. Lasted us great.  Recently purcased a new one.  Hope it'll last as long.

OK, who's that hiding behind the heart?  Does that mean I'm not the only ding bat to get those shredders stuck?

My that's a tongue twister.  Shredders Stuck.  Try saying that a few times fast!

@Annabellethecat66 :  I am going to out them for you LOL:

You may want to consider hiring a company to  dispose of all unwanted paper.

I am sure your family will help with this task.

I get so many sheets of address labels as "gifts" hoping I will donate to everyone.  Well, my "donatees" has gotten much smaller now that I am retired.  Anyway, I found the best thing was to put a regular sheet of paper on both sides of the labels.  Like making a label sandwich.  Then you can shred the 3 sheets without sticking.  Works every time.  ☺

I don't see any point in shredding address labels.  Your address is out there everywhere.  Do you also shred envelopes with your address on them?  I recycle envelopes.

Yes, I do.  Then they get recycled with my shredded paper.

@geezerette   Do you just put your shredded paper loose in the recycle bin?  I've never thought about doing that, but if it's allowed that's a good idea.

No, I don't have curbside pickup since I live out in the country.  I have to take all my recycling into the city recycling center.  I put the shredded paper in a garbage bag to take in.  I shred most everything so it doesn't take me long to get a bagful.

@geezerette   They don't allow us to put anything in a plastic bag to be recycled.
