I'm watching a demonstration right now on a shredder!
They need to have me on there. I'm famous for getting stuff stuck in the things, then it sits there forever because I can't get it out!
So, my son in law and daughter are coming over tomorrow to hook up (for the zillionith time) my computer with my zerox machine.
He keeps saying, "What happens? I just did it?"
He has the patience of Jesus with me!
You wouldn't believe all of the "stuff" I have sitting here that I'm having problems (yes, let's make it the machine's fault) with these stupid things.
Actually, this shredder thing (stuck) is QVC's fault. I've done this before but I never learn.
I put the return labels through the thing...they have sticky stuff on them and they get stuck in the thing.
I can't decide which I'll ask him to fix first. Poor guy, I don't want to burn him out too quickly.
Please, tell me I'm not the only person who manages to get these things stuck? It makes me feel so stupid.
It goes back and forth but nothing will unstick the thing!

OK, who's that hiding behind the heart? Does that mean I'm not the only ding bat to get those shredders stuck?
My that's a tongue twister. Shredders Stuck. Try saying that a few times fast!

I don't usually get anything stuck in my shredder--in my case, it's usually my printer that gets the paper stuck inside somewhere. What a pain that is!
But I do know what you mean about those sticky labels. I try to put them through my shredder smoothly so that they don't separate and get the glue all over, but I get impatient when I have several things at a time that need shredding and then inevitably the machine gets sticky. Then I spend an hour trying to scrape the glue off the shredder!
It would have been much quicker just to take my time putting the sheets in, but I guess I'll never learn!😄

You are lucky that your shredder goes back and forth. Mine has been stuck in forward only al,ost since I got it !
The only sticky thing: return QVC labels that I forget about !

@Annabellethecat66 I stick them on a regular sheet, and then put them through the machine. You can also purchase sheets that you run through the shredder to unstick everything. They really work, try Amazon

@jlkz Well, it doesn't matter that it goes back and forth...it STILL doesn't move.
I was just remembering. When my husband was alive he kept meticulous records of everything.
Me? OMG! Right now I have a dining room table that's so high with papers it's crazy!
I will be going through them for the accountants to do my taxes but right now....it's really, really piled high.
Hey! I found a check I wrote when I lived with my sister in (are you ready? You sure?)
It was to a dentist for (wait for it)....$10. Yepper in 1963 I paid a dentist $10 probably for a cleaning...Who knows.
It still has my older sister's name on the check with mine. Only good thing is my handwritting got better! Ha!
OK, back to my late husband. I brought home a shredder on day. He flipped! He wouldn't have one in the house. He made me return the thing!
Now, mind you, he died back in 2004 and his secret word on the computer was QWERTY! Ha! And he once owned a very large computer company! You'd think he'd know better? Ha!
I have 2 shredders right now. I'm not bragging, I'm saying how dumb I am because I just go out and buy a new one when that one gets stuck? What else do you do with them? They have my papers stuck in them ! Ha!
OK, fingers crossed that he can unstick the thing(s). I have a good guy friend who fixes everything for me. He's amazing. I'm waiting to see if son in law can fix this one first.
I'm worried about burning out my guy friend. He's already coming over to fix my toilet (we do it together), replace some bulbs I can't reach and several other things I can't fix.
I need a skinny, young pretend husband. He needs to be skinny because my guy friend is too fat (belly) to get between toilet and sink. He needs to be young because my guy friend has to have his wife climb high on the latter (he's old like me) and .....well...that's it, I guess.
Everyone used to say, "You should get married again". I used to say, "I had Filet Mignon of husbands. Why would I settle for the hamburger that's out there now?" Ha!
I don't need a man except to fix stuff I'm now too old or fat or whatever to get to.
I'm a do it yourselfer but since I'm almost 73 (December) what my brain says do my body says, "Oh! No! You don't".
PS The QVC spell check doesn't understand my made up words.

I don't think you are to put sticky lables through the shredder. I read it somewhere to not shread those. Don't know how to get rid of them safely.

@QVCkitty1 Thanks for the help. I buy a lot on Amazon. How did I not see that? OK, I'm ordering some today.
And they do work? I got with the machine paper that greases the gears, but it was one sheet.
Thanks again!

@QVCkitty1 I remember Mr. Moynihan very well. There were several people I enjoyed back then.
There was another guy I liked so much. I just can't exactly remember his name. I can see him sitting in his chair talking on TV. He had 3 names and I loved listening to him.

@Annabellethecat66Whenever I put something sticky like QVC label through my shredder, I wrap it with something else that needs to be shredded. That seems to help, but it's not unusual to have to unplug the machine and pull a sticky mesh out of the teeth! Just be sure it's unplugged please!
