@JBKO  I would not step foot on that Island.  Something very wrong is going on and you don't want to become a part of it.  It would not be in the news so much if it wasn't significiant.  Go to St. Thomas or British Islands and stay away from DR.  A lot of poor people live there.

My daughter went a couple of years ago and was told not to go any place unless they were in a tour group. She didn't like the feeling of not being safe to just go into town and look around.

I'd go somewhere like Montreal. It's beautiful in September.
