Shopping channels taking Paypal?

I was flipping channels last night when I was up late, and I stopped at HSN (which I only shopped on once years ago). The host said, they take all major credit cards and Paypal. I did not know that until now.

Does QVC and EVINE take Pay Pal too?

That actually interests me, because believe it or not, I do not have a credit card and don't want one. Well I have a debit/credit card at the bank but that comes right out. (When we got married 8 & 3/4 yrs ago I said I don't want a credit card in my name. (I no longer work). Of course I use his online for holiday shopping etc. My husband has 2 now for emergencies and shopping online. He (and I agree) prefers to keep them low as he has been paying them down the past years.

So anyway that interested me, I would probably buy less expensive type things with Paypal because that comes right out of the account and no credit card bill.

IDK about the shopping channels, but I was in Macy's today.  They now take paypal!  Macys got new machines yesterday.  They read the new chips in cards with a special reader.  The I saw a paypal option

I like PAYPAL and would like to have a link at QVC to use it.  I know there is something called Bill Me Later in which I had to enter all my information AGAIN to use it and I did not feel the need to do that so I continue to use my QCard.   I pay off my balance in full each month and have done so for years.  There are just times when I would like to use PP to pay.

Re: Shopping channels taking Paypal?

I only use PayPal on eBay, otherwise I use a rewards credit card.  The only benefit I find in using PP is I do not have to write a check to pay off the balance at the end of the month

Credit cards are not evil when used properly.

Every married lady needs a credit card in her own name.  If you have a work history, regardless of whether or not you are now working, you should be able to secure one.

In house credit cards are notorious for high interest rates and fine print.  Apply for a Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card in your name.  You never know what the future holds.

Re: Shopping channels taking Paypal?

I used PayPal on the other channel a few times without a hitch.

PP was sold by eBay and it's now a separate company. I think I'm going to ditch my PP and eBay.

I made a purchase on the other channel as "guest" and went to check out w/PayPal. Logged into PP and the transaction was declined by HSN with a comment that said "sorry, we already have that CC on file".

I thought  the idea behind PP was that your CC was not given to the store? Seems that's not the case any more.

i use my paypal account on qvc via their "paypal credit feature" (formerly bill me later). it appears on your paypal statement and then i use the funds in my paypal account to pay it off. easy to use and no interest. i have been doing this for about 2 or 3 years now. it is a line of credit that you apply for.

I like Paypal as well as that is my business account for eBay.  The funds I have there are easily accessible to me and I'd prefer paying for an item that way than charging it....Woman LOL

I had the same thing happen to me with HSN when wanting to use Paypal.  The problem was that there were two separate accounts with HSN because my husband had ordered a few things, too, previously.  It finally went through when I used the correct e-mail address.

Evine takes Paypal. I don't know if Q does or not. By using Paypal you can have a credit card at one place & not all the places you shop online. There are still a lot that don't take Paypal.
