I've never shopped ShopHQ. Could someone who does maybe explain how they claim to be able to sell a diamond bracelet watch with a retail value of $2,349.00 for $249.99? I've seen outrageous offers like this on this channel before. Are they for real? I typically just chuckle and tune out. I figure it's just not possible to get what they are promoting for the cost. Any insights from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

@Derwin28 I've often wondered that myself. They probably make it up with their ridiculous S&H fees ![]()

Correction..they don't reference "Est. Retail Value" above the original cost. It's referenced as "ShopHQ Price." II Googled the brand and prices are all over the board, as low as a couple hundred or so. Don't know enough about the brand to figure out why such wide variations in their Gevril watch costs. And honestly, I'll never purchase one. Just was curious.

I think you have confused Shoplc with Shophq. Both were selling diamonds today. Shoplc does NOT say "retail price" when they give those ridiculously high prices. They do have lawyers...lol. They call it the "start price". Which is meant to give the non savvy shoppers the idea that it's the retail price. But of course, it isn't. Start price means nothing when they get down to the actual selling price. Shophq does not play thst game. They have "event prices" which are sharply reduced from the "Shophq price". Their diamonds are graded and higher quality than other shopping channels. All their jewelry is superior and costs more. Event prices are roughly 50% of the regular price and good only for the event.

Thanks for clarifying. I was going to find the channel because someone mentioned it in regards to good quality chocolates. Sounds like I can safely shop at ShopHQ.

@Derwin28 Were you referencing

@chrystaltree Definately ShopHQ. After doing a bit of research, I'm inclined to believe that the markdown is just based off a ridiculously hyper-inflated and unrealistic price that no supplier/vendor would, in reality, ever try selling it for.

@Derwin28 I would suggest you research these threads. Many were not happy with ShopHQ. I do not find their jewelry any more exceptional than other shopping channels. I find their shipping the highest of the three I do shop, QVC, HSN and ShopHQ. Because of their unfair practices and over charging states sales tax, I rarely shop with them. I will buy something if I truly know I love it and I need it. Otherwise, I pass them by.
Good luck though if you choose to purchase items.

@Derwin28 Here's a thread from yesterday on the subject of ShopHQ.
