This is a very bad situation.  All around.  For products lost into the sea.  For the sea and sea life.  Hopefully another ship doesn't hit one, then we could have another oil spill.

Nothing to joke about.

@SharkE I read a book about him and it was fascinating!  It had history, facts about Greece and Turkey I never knew, information about international business I never knew too!  He was a remarkable person.

I'd say it was one of the best and most informative books I have ever read, and not much of it was about Jackie either!

I saw the video this morning of the shipping containers bobbing in the ocean like apples....and wondered how many car part, appliance, and  Christmas present orders were in each of them. Surreal to me.

Greece is the most amazing country I've ever visited. In every way.
The history, the architecture, the islands, the beauty, the climate, the people, the food, the lifestyle, the livelihood, the religion, the families.

Money screams; wealth whispers.

This is horrible.  Do they try to retrieve the containers or just let them lay on the ocean floor?

I know the storms are bad, I hope it doesn't get worse.

The situation at the ports is unbelievable.

@Lucky Charm  Try to retrieve them? HA They'll just file insurance claims.

@Sooner  OT but related to your post. I once picked up at a friend's house a biography of Dave Thomas, Wendy's founder. It was surprisingly interesting, and fast food was a pretty in its infancy.. He described Colobel Sanders tryng to peddle his fried chicken from state to state. It was a very interesting read.

OK...back to the cargo ships...

Anyone ever wonder if the Universe is really pis*** at humanity?  Viruses, forest fires, earthquakes, volcanos erupting, giant storms, flooding, mayhem of all sorts breaking out all over the planet.
