Shipping Containers Backed Up

So I read another article yesterday that the shipping situation is actually getting worse.  Containers are backed up and nothing is moving.

Retailers are planning for the Holidays and actually air freighting their merchandise in so they have it.

I know when I had my business, I flew some of my product in from China and it wasn't cheap.

Plan for some pretty hefty price tags but I think we're seeing them already.

This has been ongoing for months but with increased volume due to holiday merchandise, it stand to reason it would get worse.  There's just no good news anywhere about anything.

DD manages a popular grocery store chain and they have started limiting TP & PT.

I hope people who buy for Christmas are shopping now. I wouldn't wait for Black Friday to order anything online.

Just walk through Costco or Sam's Club. They used to store inventory in racks above the merchandise that you could buy. The racks were filled with product up toward the ceiling.

Now you look and the racks are empty. There doesn't seem to be much inventory.

I bought  some t p last week and my son saw it.
He asked if he could have several rolls. I gave him the whole package! Back to the store.

Re: Shipping Containers Backed Up

I admit it.  After my friend in NJ mentioned that she has noticed tp shortages at her grocery store, when I was at Target a few days ago I bought a 12 pack of Charmin, that I didn't need.  There was plenty of tp in stock but some large empty spots on the shelves.

I have already finished Christmas shopping for the few friends I exchange with.  I already mailed a box to my friend in Florida, a few months ago. Yes, months.  And I have the box ready to go to my friend in Utah.  I will probably mail it next week.  Wanted to get those out of town packages on their way.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
