So I still wonder if it was the beginnings of covd19-it seemed to spread to everyone near and all over.
I have never had the flu, that I know of, bad colds yes, but never whatever this was.
I had the flu a looooong time ago, over 10 years ago. And it laid me out. I could fall asleep sitting up. I crashed out everywhere and in every possible position. I was like the walking dead for a full week and sick as a dog for about 2. I couldn't keep any food down either. It was the sickest I've ever felt and I was a very healthy person with a strong immune system. And Covid did not exist yet, so it was definitely a bad flu.

Thank you for sharing your experience, @Desert Lily, I pray you continue to feel better.
I got really sick in Feburary, but I didn't go to the dr. I still have a weird feeling in my chest at times and I am going to see my heart dr in August. It was the quickest I could get in.
I don't know if I had covid or not, but I do know we went to a memorial service in January and that some of the people who were there tested positive for covid in Feburary. One mans wife had died earlier in January. Of course, we didn't really know much about Covid then and I am not sure if she had it or not, only that he was dxd after the service where I was hugged my many people.
I am so glad you had your neighbor to help you.

Thank you for sharing your story, @Desert Lily . It sounds likely you did have Covid, but whatever you had, I can hear that the condition was awful, and the trauma from having it is still with you. May you continue to heal!
I have friends in various places around the country, some of whom live in more remote areas that still haven't been affected directly by the virus. It's hard for them to imagine what's really going on--to discount it as just a bad flu. So they have continued to live their lives as before. Stories like yours, with the details you provided, may perhaps help people understand better.

From Healthline:
In a new study reported in a preprint paper on the website MedRxiv, researchers found that levels of neutralizing antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 peaked within about 3 weeks of people developing symptoms.
Within those first 3 weeks, 60 percent of participants in the study developed “potent” neutralizing antibody responses against the virus.
By the time 65 days had passed, only 17 percent of participants still had potent levels of neutralizing antibodies in their blood.
People who developed only mild to moderate symptoms tended to produce fewer neutralizing antibodies than people with severe cases of COVID-19.
Neutralizing antibody levels also tended to drop to lower levels in people who developed only mild to moderate infections. In some of them, no neutralizing antibodies could be detected by the end of the study.
This study was conducted by researchers from King’s College in London, England. Their report of the study has not yet gone through peer review, but other peer-reviewed research has yielded similar findings.

@bikerbabe Thanks for that!
On the vaccine front, I read that Dr. Fauci said there should be 200 million doses by the beginning of next year.
