@LdyBugz Oh.......thanks for a good laugh. I just did the same thing this week - I have 2 TV (Sony) with 2 remotes that work with both (TV's) When a phone call comes in - I mute the active TV set. Hate blaring background noise - in the process of this - I'm banging on the volume button to reactive sound..
Finally calmed down - yup, was on Mute as it should be.
Oh life can be interesting and frustrating!

I must look at, life in general, differently than you. Along my years and decades of life things, and people have changed. During those times I tried to keep abreast of the changes, and do what a few of these differences, actually changed MY life, not the world or country as a whole.
Weird times, people's actions? I have seen and been personally involved in that during much of my adult life. Other than the present lockdown, and other changes for safety and health reasons? People, at least the ones important in my life, have changed very little.
I went ice skating today and other than wearing a mask in the lobby and fewer people skating? That part of my life is pretty much the same. Now my skating ability after being off 7 months? Felt almost like starting skating all over. Not much else to say here.

@hckynut, I guess maybe individually we can feel no effect from this crisis, at least as long as it doesn't hit home in some way or another (my daughter and family recovered nicely).
But I just can't ignore what we and the rest of the world are going through and how it's impacted every sector of our lives.
Remember that you and I are somewhat on the sidelines. We don't work anymore and my children are grown. Hopefully, money is not a pressing issue.
So it's a bit easier to distance ourselves. But I don't seem to be very good at that. :-)

People will find what they look for and not see the rest.

2020 has definitely been one big adjustment.

That's y I quit watching the news, but one can't help still picking up the bad behaviors that make the media rounds online or on "entertainment" type shows. In those brief instances that I see, I do wind up shaking my head and wondering y someone would behave the way they do in public. Also people getting seriously hurt or killed over the nonsensical behaviors of some. Baffling. My heart goes out to those business owners whose dreams have been squashed by this pandemic and have had to shut down and wonder what to do next. Very upsetting. Here's to 2021 being a much better year.

I think possibly many are not just "smh" but turning into bobble heads and can it be any other way right now? If you aren't feeling squirrely, you haven't been paying attention. It's an interesting shared condition, unusual, and very strange for Americans. I hope we don't stare at our navels too long trying to figure out what's going on while it all goes away.

I turn off my TV and turn to my dog who is the only thing in my life right now which gives me peace and saves my sanity.

What a year. I don't think any of us can be judged during 2020 - or judged at all. Saving my energy to get up steam for the positive stuff.

@hckynut I'm so glad you got to go back skating, I know you've missed it!
I didn't ice skate much but did roller skating from age 6 through high school. I took lessons and did the dances.
I skated when they would have matinees as an adult so it wouldn't be so crowded and still used my high school skates.
Since I don't want broken bones now and skating isn't available I threw them out several years ago. They were stiff and cracked, didn't fit well but I skated down the hall!
I've been tempted to try the artificial ice rink they set up outside during Christmas. I just don't think it would have the feel of ice!
@goldensrbest Sorry, I got excited about skating and really loved it!
It helps me to try to be happy and smile at people even with a mask your eyes smile.
I've had to have several repairmen in for things like furnace check up, plumbing, new refrigerator etc. they wear masks and shoe covers if they have to come in.
I wear my mask and stay far away and feel sorry for them having to work in masks. When they leave I let them know how grateful I am. They are taking chances also!
I miss my dog that was old and died also, but know it was his time. I spend more time with my younger one now.
The news on TV sometimes is depressing. Now I try to limit it.
There have been other times that were terrible to live in.
But people survived wars, depressions, and rationing. They worried about polio, and didn't have medicine as good as we have today..
I think what we miss is our freedom to do things like we used to. We miss our families and socializing. Being alone is especially depressing if we let it be. We can't loose our spirit! ❤️💙💜💛🧡❣️
