I posted the other day about my dog. She has been walking a little better now.

But she has had diarreah for the past two days...pretty liquid. And she threw up a little bit this morning.

Don't know what to do. She won't eat. I am taking her to vet tonight. She is 14

Would she eat cooked white rice mixed with boiled chicken or turkey? That's what our dog had when he got that, it helped, per our vets recommendation, hope you get some help with your vet tonight. It's so hard!!

Try some peanut butter...just to get in some calories.

It's so hard when a pet gets older. We finally put our 14 year old standard poodle down last year. After months of testing and special diet, rice and chicken, it still wasn't working. She would even poo and pee in her sleep. We had to replace our couches and area rugs, the house smelled so bad. I hope they can find out what is wrong, but it just might be her time. I hope that is not the case.

Did they do a renal scan (through blood and also, if I remember correctly, they can do trace in urine too for a quicker result)?

Is she on new medications? Maybe this is a side effect. If she is not eating, try what I had explained in the other thread. (Feeding using a large zip-lock bag & corner cut off--fill it with power-packed nutritious food & supplements (but something she likes too mixed in)) and sometimes, just putting it in their cheek, while they are on their side, will cause them to remember eating again…it may stimulate her to eat. If not, just squirt a bit into her cheek (they have large cheeks, lol, so go toward the back teeth), and rub her cheek toward her, not toward you (or the food will plop out). Do a bit, not too much, and try to get her to swallow so she will not get weaker. Also, try ice chips if she is not drinking. Make sure she is not getting dehydrated or you will have an entirely new set of problems. I used to give my dog the generic pedialite (less $, but works the same, imo) and she would drink it, almost instinctively. Pinch the top of her head and gather the skin between your thumb and index finger--if the skin does not snap back and 'tents', then she is dehydrated.
