I know there is a security problem at HD. We only use our Home Depot card there. We also only go to one store, so our card will be easy to monitor. If there are charges on our card from any other store, we would notice.
We don't have to worry, do we?

You use a Home Depot card? Have they notified you about what they want you to do? Just monitor your account, replace the card, etc?
We used our Discover Card there a few times. I watch our Discover account daily anyway, but they put a banner on their homepage last week or the week before saying that, for right now, just monitor, don't request new cards.
So, for right now, I'm going to just keep watching our Discover account.

The problem was resolved. Even if someone used your card, you are not liable.

It's a major hassle to switch payments and wait for a new card.
One time my card was declined because the bank closed it and hadn't notified me.

I was so embarrassed. I was really upset that they didn't at least notify us beforehand.
