I used to live in a house where bees kept a nest in one of the bushes by our back gate.  I would use that gate, too, and was never stung. But whenever a bee flew at me, I never brushed it away; I would simply duck. And a friend's tree attracted bees once a year for a few days. Still, they never stung anyone who didn't mess with them.

The last time I was stung was when I was about 8 years old and that was by a yellowjacket. Now wasps are MEAN.

Great post @wilma   Have always had pollionators and every year plant more in the yard!  The bees have been loving the flowering azaleas.

I do love the bees, this year i put down clover, in bare spots they love it ,first year i have seen any honey bees,and the bumble bees love the walkers low catmint.

I had terrible allergies until I started using local honey before allergy season. Such a huge improvement. I have never even heard of fake honey...why would anyone make that..or even want it? Horrified. Love the honeybees!

Glad to see Roundup was on the list to avoid. I can’t believe that poison is still on the shelves...it kills people, not just bees!

Bees are extremely important, but I'm also worried about the Monarch butterflies.

Years and years and years ago, we used to have many bees buzzing around.

When I was much younger, I'd sit on a beach chair the lawn, reading in the sunshine, and bees were a-buzzing all around me.  Very happily feeding on flowers.

Now, in the past many years, one or two bees at the very most.

'Gee', I really don't know what we're going to do without bees.  Another 'epidemic' of sorts.........less bees, less produce.  Less flowers.
