My niece and her husband have a bee farm on the side and sell honey to local vendors in their community and also outside. And, of course, I get free honey. I love BEES!!!

Funny, looking at the list of plants, never thought of single vs double flowers. This spring I was surprised when working in my beds at the honey bees in my holly bushes! Perhaps I have never worked in them while the holly had their small white flowers.

@kittykatkayWell, I can't say I love the bees - but I do love what they do for us humans and as long as they stick to their job, I'm happy to have them survive and thrive.

I've been afraid of THE DEATH OF THE POLLINATOR for at least a decade.
CHEMICALS have caused fungal infections and modern living and dependency on said chemicals for lawn care, factory farming, etc...... have killed the pollinators.

I have observd they like... Mondara which I found out is also called "Bee Balm" so there you go. Corn flower especially the blue ones. and Garlic Chive. That one is really pretty too. long flat chive like leaves and a stalk of little white flowers. (not like the regular chive pom pom.) the bees LOVE 'em!

@wilma Thank you for this informative post! I have been stung several times over the years, so I have never warmed up to them, but now have a newfound respect for them. The first two pictures are what prompted me to reevaluate my thinking. Very profound.😊
~~~All we need is LOVE💖
I love my bees. I notice their are fewer each year. They love my pond, my husband and I rescue at least 3 bees a week in the pond. We get them with te net quick, and put them in the plants by pond. Geesh, one bee we had to rescue twice. How do I know it was him? He has a tiny notch out of the larger wing on right side.
they love my lavender, cat mint and flowers
