Does QVC honor tax free weekends for the states who still have them? Especially regarding computers and clothing. Thanks.

@Toot1920, I know they do for clothing items. Not sure about computers.

My state of Colorado does not honor any tax-free days. We always pay sales tax, even internet sales tax.

just a reminder......

for MARYLANDERS, tax free week begins on august 12th and runs through august 18th 2018. it always begins the second sunday of august.

Qualifying apparel and footwear $100 or less, per item, are exempt from the state sales tax. This year, the first $40 of a backpack or bookbag purchase is also tax-free. Accessory items, except for backpacks, are not included.

@Toot1920  QVC will honor the tax free weekend but the items that will be tax free are determined by your own state.

Your state may limit the amount that can be tax free for an expensive item.  You need to check with your own state website to see what will be tax free and if there are restrictions on the cost of certain items.

My state, New Mexico, include clothing and computers in its tax-free week-end and QVC honors the tax free status on both.

@Toot1920  Again, you need to check with YOUR state to see what is considered tax-free.

If computers are not, then the Q will charge your usual sales tax.

The issue isn't what the Q honors-they will honor anything your state says is tax-free.

But if your state says something is NOT tax-free for that week-end, then the Q will charge appropriately.

@Toot1920, and anyone interested, here's one helpful article (of many).   I'm never sure which links are okay to post, so this one isn't clickable -- just copy and paste the link or search for the article title on the DealNews.com site.

The chart they post has hyperlinks to all the states' names, making it easy to go over to your location and see what's what.😊

As @Cakers3 said, it's specific to the state.

It dpends where you live and Florida tax weekend in forst weekend in Aug.   I have never had any only company's to supprt it, only local stores.  Maybe each state is different, not sure.  i get stuff for my Grandson, but since it is basically supplies , I have no problem finding tings local.
