Hubby is hard core that Sundays are free, but I think that's just cause he needs a drink by then (he gave up alcohol -- lol!). I hope they are free, cause I just had half a burger and two cookies (I gave up meat and sweets).
Hi to you, EMT!!! Hope you're well.
Uh oh, Future, God saw that!
I also grew up Presbyterian and have never taken Sunday's off during Lent but that's just me. I figure I can give up something from Ash Wednesday until Easter to honor Christ after all that He's done for me. But at the same token, I don't judge anyone who does take Sunday's off.
Whatever works.

This is how we were brought up, no days off.

We do not take Sundays off during Lent. But we are not Catholic so I'd suggest you go by your church's rules.

I go with this answer because I remember when I was a kid adults were supposed to fast also.

JUST walked in from mass...
The Priest tonight also said Sundays are exempt...and he insists it has always been that way through history...( my dad stated if it is that way it must have just changed)..
Hola,Future- ROTF- we COULD be in trouble together...
JBugg- I appreciate the input!
I like Celery- Thank you and DITTO!
Lynda- That is HILARIOUS!
Insomniac- THANK YOU!! That is exactly what I have been trying to "explain" to my dad...
Graycatsrule, Anika& Lovescats.. I think I just have to let my dad see it his way and do things my way without allowing him to make me feel guilty...
HAPPY SUNDAY and a FABULOUS week to ALL!! CYBER HUGS!!

We were told back in elementary school that Sunday was a joyous day and we did not have to sacrifice. Sundays are not part of the 40 days of Lent.

Hola, Sylvia & Lulu!
Thank you..
I guess I am at least keeping the sacrifice going with FB...

Technically Sundays aren't included and if you gave something up, etc. it is a "cheat" day. However, I personally don't believe in that. I continue through, including Sundays.
