I read yesterday if it happens, it will prob be 10.1%, just enough to put us up into the next tax bracket. With inflation still increasing per CPI, it won't really increase buying power, especially if Medicare premiums go up very much.

Call me skeptical, but I will not believe Medicare won't increase until I see it. The COLA will be helpful, but it won't mean a vacation or other extras...it will perhaps make a dent in the cost of food, gas, and other expenses those on fixed incomes are dealing with every day.
