I live in a near North suburb on NYC and it looked like sugar was falling from the sky

What we would give in Arizona for some cold rainy weather. Yesterday was 80 and today is in the 70's. We get sick of sunshine every day. At least I do. People here come out and celebrate rainy days.

@Spacrazy I was born ready. My parents grew up on farms and knew the value of snow, so they loved it all their lives - both for it's value and it's beauty.
That's fascinating to me. I like cold weather but have never been subjected to much snow. I love how clean and fresh the air feels. I was thinking of your plants, too.

@Spacrazy My parents and grandparents called snow "poor man's manure." It was considered beneficial for many reasons. I worked with a girl from China who was named Xue. Her name means "snow." She said her parents named her Xue because they were farmers and knew the benefits of snow. Small world.

Welcome to you, @SaveTheTurtles. We live in S. WI & it was in the 50's today. Supposed to be the same for tomorrow. We have a lot of squirrel nests in our area and they are HIGH in the tree's. This means a cold snowy winter🤔😑🤔.

@twinny70 Greetings! Looks like the snow is going to miss us this weekend and it's just going to rain. Are you located close to Milwaukee? If you don't mind me asking, just curious.

@SaveTheTurtles , we are about 45 miles S. of Madison. Our homeown is Monro*. We are the Swiss cheese Capitol of the world😀😋🤗. We went to Janesville for the day and it's about 45 miles East of us. I think we are going to get rain all day Saturday and Sunday. Yuck!

@twinny70 My hubby and I took a day trip this summer to Broadhead to a cheese maker who specialized in a Swiss/colby combination. We saw it on Foodie. We are located in the Oconomowoc area, Lake country. Madison is a nice day trip when the weather is good too!
