Minnesota here.  4 feet of snow on ground right now.  More to come.  Snowing right now.  Has snowed every day for over a week.  Getting tired of shoveling ourselves out.  Plows block our drive way everytime they plow the streets.  Too much snow and it's only Jan.  Still have two months of this to go before a late spring thaw.

@little gram  For us in Colorado snow means water..We've been in a drought..forest fires unfortunately seem to be happening every year.  We depend on irrigation water in the summer.  If snowmelt doesn't fill the reservoirs we won't have irrigation.  The forests need the moisture our water tables for our wells need the moisture.

We are actually happy for this weather.  Being retired is a plus.  DH can plow the snow and shovel little by little.

My fruit trees and berry bushes will be happy come spring..

So we try not to complain about it but love it when the sun comes out...DW

We're in the Chicago suburbs and have had very very little snow. Odd for us.  Temps in the 40's and dreary grey days for a week.  The sunny snow pics with that gorgeous blue sky was cheerful.
