Proboards for The Royal thread.  HSN was a decade plus ago and did not last long over there.  Too boring.  If I am not at work then like you I am home reading.

There was an investment board I used to visit, never posted. Like me, many have gone to all cash and building a savings stash.

I go to Proboards every so often, rarely really.

Not a bulletin board, but I am on Facebook a ton. I may be in the minority here, but I love Facebook.  

I am not on Twitter or Instagram.

The NextDoor app to catch local gossip and goings-on.  I'm also with several Facebook photography and pet groups (horses and dogs mostly), dog rescue and even a turquoise collector group,.and exchange comments and ideas with those people.  Facebook is not all about discussing children/grandchildren.  I never post personal stuff.  Lots of nice people there.

I like Reddit if I'm watching a particular TV show, especially one that I really like.

Some of the threads and comments are educational. and others have interesting theories.  You can also ask a question if there's something you don't understand; the Redditors are happy to help.

You don't have to join just to read the comments; just Google a topic and Reddit.
