Re: SHOPPING ON HSN HAS BECOME AGGRAVATING

@Teddixat, you are so right. I got so many pairs of Vince Camuto's shoes. Marked down from over $100 to $39 and $29. Still have some Thai I haven't worn. HSN notified when my size had decrease in price. Those were the days.

Re: SHOPPING ON HSN HAS BECOME AGGRAVATING

Had one issue and it was Lessman Night Time supplements that I returned> HSN refunded my CC.    Two months later,  HSN claimed they were never received, after I received therefund.  I keep tracking receipts on everything. HSN sent a nastygram and tried doing a chargeback and I found out it was not HSN it was Qurate that I ended up dealing with.

One time I returned some jewelry and HSN showed never received. The main Post office hub had the issue with an empty package being cycled through their facility.

When you use the provided return label,  Once the PO accepts the prepaid label on package it is HSN's property. Anything I order,  I ALWAYS take a photo of a return package and get a receipt from PO.

I use the chatbot 99% of the time. Phone reps can be new and give inaccurate information.  additionally,  I would have kicked the duplicate order issue up to management. there is no reason you would need to eat the shipping charge if it were the vendor error.

@pdlinda - Your experience of being told you had to send an item back to the vendor, sounds exactly like what happened to me once (years ago), when I ordered Tracfones from HSN.

They said on air repeatedly that they would work in my area (CDMA); to check the Tracfone link by entering the zip code to confirm it, which I did.  At the time our area did not support GSM.

However, they did not work here (phones were GSM) and, when I contacted HSN, they said I had to send them back to the vendor at my own expense, despite the fact they did not work.  At the time, the only way to ship them (because of the batteries) was via UPS; the Post Office wouldn't accept them.  It cost me nearly $16.  HSN wouldn't budge on the issue.

I have never ordered phones from HSN again.  I couldn't believe they would use such nonsense to get out of providing a prepaid label.

They may have changed their policies in recent years but, once burned...

(And after the fiasco with them sending me the wrong item and sending it back to me over and over - hence the Certified Letter - I didn't shop with them for many years.  Now I limit HSN purchases to very few and far between.)

I ordered a tracfone from hsn last month and was told they sold too many and maybe they would get more in a month. I canceled my order and ordered the same exact phone from qvc at the same price. Sheesh. My first tracfone in 8 years but I figured I needed something to carry with me in the car for er.  Just like last time I will probably never use the phone. lol

Re: SHOPPING ON HSN HAS BECOME AGGRAVATING

@foxywoods  I hear you; however, I chose to "cut my losses", "eat" the charges and rid my mind and my time of having to deal with this MISERLY company, Quarate.

It is INCOMPREHENSIBLE that they wouldn't have "bent over backwards" to accommodate me, and, because of that, they lost a great customer.  I'm not surprised they are in the financial "free fall" they're in...

I just checked the "Return Options" for the item I want to send back as defective.

No other option than to print the return label myself, return and insure it at my own expense.  (If I don't insure it, they won't refund, if it's "lost or damaged".  How convenient for them.)

They make sure it's not worth your time and the hassle to return things.  I'm done with ever ordering anything electronic from HSN again.

I'll do an online chat with CS, but I doubt I'll get anywhere.  IMO, they are the worst.  I have some Autoships that I'm about to go cancel and then draw a line under my dealing with them.

UPDATE:  I just chatted with a CS rep and he's agreed to send me a prepaid label and says I won't be charged for the return shipping.  I'll make sure after the return gets there, that I'm not!

@pdlinda   oh dear, I am so sorry you have to go through this, seriously! I posted this years  ago...but did you ever hear about the time around 1994 when I received 26 pairs of navy Connie shoe heels from First FFANY sale ???  Oh, talk about crying and pain.  Here I am expecting one pair of size 6.5 heels for my daughter when UPS truck pulls up.  He gets out, gets a dolly (not a good sign) and starts stacking. All in separate boxes, of course.  He drives up walk way about 10 pr on dolly, I'm wondering what in the heck. He says, I'm not finished yet now I am nervous.  Anyway I opened a few boxes, all same shoe. This is before online account , so I call  QVC ...I have 26 boxes of what I think are shoes.  They said correct, 26 pairs of Connie 2 inch heels in Navy.  Long story short. They were 19.99@ plus tax and 3.50@ approx  shipping   We are taking about 25@.  650 BUCKS!!   Maxed out card just about.  I had to open EACH box, fill out form, tape up. Thank God one saving Grace was they had self addressed labels then. I HAD TO GET TO POST OFFICE, thank God I was younger, about 48.  I was sooooooo embarrassed to return all these boxes at one time. I was like a drug addict going to 4 different post offices and mailboxes to send back. Some how in the whole excitement and quick pace of their first show I used auto ordering, hit wrong numbers, so QVC says I did.  It cost me 102.70 in return fees, taken out of purchases as shipping was 3.95@ back then.  Did I learn a lesson.

Re: SHOPPING ON HSN HAS BECOME AGGRAVATING

@shoekitty   LOL....that is a very funny story!  As I mentioned, the return of the 2nd (unordered) printer was the "back breaker" as I have 31 steps up to my apartment and I've lived here for 25 years!

Even 25 years ago, I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CARRY THAT PRINTER DOWNSTAIRS.  Perhaps I could have used a dolly to do it; however, I'm 25 yrs older now and would not ever attempt to do that chore myself.

I'm sure that it was a one-shot mistake for you and you continued ordering.  For me, THAT'S IT!

I'm done with TV shopping as the hassle of RETURNING AN ITEM (as well as the expense) is simply unacceptable!

@pdlinda   It is hassle to return. I am 77, and have spinal issues, RA and hips that are beyond bad. My husband has to return, and it's not worth the whining. I cannot imagine in wildest dreams going up and down 35 steps. That is horrid.  I don't order from QVC like I did in old days. Food, and items besides shoes and clothes are a winner for me.   I can't trust the sizing anymore.  I have never dealt with such vanity sizing. And size runs different for most brands.  Nothing is consistent. I hate printing labels, hoping printer will work, taping labels and box up, then going to ups, FedEx or usps    I order a lot from other places where I know sizes for sure. I had to return a pair of pants back 2 times last time to qvc.  I wound  up with size 8, which was still loose, but doable. I usually wear a 10, or medium.  But I had to go small with some qvc tops. Unreal.  Yes, the returning is a hassle. And HSN and qvc, cost more in shipping than other places. I rarely pay ship to my house, and a small fee to return. And other places send a return label. Yes@,,,
