Re: SHOPPING ON HSN HAS BECOME AGGRAVATING

@pdlinda I think I'd try another CS rep or call the vendor and see if they can help if it has to go back to them.

@pdlinda - Your experience of being told you had to send an item back to the vendor, sounds exactly like what happened to me once (years ago), when I ordered Tracfones from HSN.

They said on air repeatedly that they would work in my area (CDMA); to check the Tracfone link by entering the zip code to confirm it, which I did.  At the time our area did not support GSM.

However, they did not work here (phones were GSM) and, when I contacted HSN, they said I had to send them back to the vendor at my own expense, despite the fact they did not work.  At the time, the only way to ship them (because of the batteries) was via UPS; the Post Office wouldn't accept them.  It cost me nearly $16.  HSN wouldn't budge on the issue.

I have never ordered phones from HSN again.  I couldn't believe they would use such nonsense to get out of providing a prepaid label.

They may have changed their policies in recent years but, once burned...

(And after the fiasco with them sending me the wrong item and sending it back to me over and over - hence the Certified Letter - I didn't shop with them for many years.  Now I limit HSN purchases to very few and far between.)

Re: SHOPPING ON HSN HAS BECOME AGGRAVATING

@Venezia  Suffice it to say that I learned A LOT from the HSN fiasco I just experienced...LISTEN TO THIS:  The 3 duplicate AH BRA orders (each in a cellophane bag) AND THE dup lipstick order were ALL dumped into ONE BOX! EACH ITEM carried a SEPARATE S&H CHARGE!

Can you IMAGINE?

According to CS each was reversed as the credit was issued.  It didn't clear my bank as yet so we'll see...

Also, I have concluded that the financial difficulties that Querate is currently experiencing has led to certain defects in their IT operations. Any way they can "nickel and dime" the customer, they do to save a few $$$.

Who Knows??

In any event, HSN lost a great customer, ME!!

I always use as examples of companies where I spend A LOT OF $$ (much more than HSN) treating me with KID GLOVES.  They would be COSTCO AND AMAZON!  When I come back with a return (rarely) Practically before I voice my issue BOTH those companies interrupt and say: "How can we make it right? No questions asked!!"

Maybe that why they're doing better than HSN is at the moment!

I use the web page and it never accepts my password. I've tried on multiple devices and it won't work.

Re: SHOPPING ON HSN HAS BECOME AGGRAVATING

the only thing I order from HSN are Andrew Lessman vitamins in free shipping.  If I run out avd they aren't in free shipping, I check Amazon.  They carry most of his vitamins-  same price- free shipping.   I don't care for their fashion lines and their shoe selection has really gone down over the years.

Re: SHOPPING ON HSN HAS BECOME AGGRAVATING

@Kachina624 , don't think it's anything suspicious.

A few months ago, their IT screwed up my account.  When I could not place an order online I called their C/S who "fixed" it but didn't.

After receiving something ordered on autoship and later cancelling autoship, I received it. Checked my account and this wasn't showing on my account.  Called C/S again.  This time I found out I had two accounts.  (Years ago due to an IT error my original account got messed up:  HSN was unable to fix it so they gave me a new account.  Again, years later they messed up again and autoship orders were charged to my original account.)

The rep straigthened everything out as faras orders go, but still cannot order online. So I no longer deal with HSN.

By the way, I returned the item sent in error (a bottle of Korres bodywash).  And, I hope QVC picks up Andrew Lessman 'cause I hear he's got something new out for dogs and I've always been satisfied with his products.

Imho their IT department functions like 'The Three Stooges'....

Re: SHOPPING ON HSN HAS BECOME AGGRAVATING

@eddyandme   I mentioned the Hallmark card kit I bought for about $30. Then I found out it was the 2022 version AND the software download is ONLY A "TRIAL"...then I realized there was no packing slip in the padded mailer in which it was sent...I added up all the costs of RETURNING THE ITEM (it was going to the vendor, not HSN, INCLUDING buying a new mailer, postage, HSN return charge and the thought of the POSSIBLE HASSLE of getting the refund from the vendor, and decided to KEEP THE DARN THING!

I'll give it to my granddaughter who's 10 y.o.

@pdlinda  I'm sorry you're having problems with HSN.

Once in a while, I realize I have a new person or one who is spouting QVC rules instead of HSN. BUT, most of the time, when I contact HSN, I'm treated very well and the problem is resolved (almost as good with QVC).

I will only report problems over the phone. For those who are not good at staying calm, not a good communicator, etc. this might be hard. But it is the best way to communicate problems and concerns and be understood.

Re: SHOPPING ON HSN HAS BECOME AGGRAVATING

i haven't had problems ordering. My problems comes from returns. I returned a watch, last Oct. with insurance. I forgot about it during the holidays and checked back in Jan. Well, refund was never given. I called CS and she got all the needed info and i got my refund. HSN has needs to e-mail that they rec'd item and refund is coming. Even checking the acct. page for refunds is lacking. I have always had good luck with QVC's returns.

@10sluvr   I always get an email that HSN received a return. I think having them do that may be an option we can choose but not automatic.
