I read that CK told his wife he was taking a friend with him to the shooting range, "to have an extra set of eyes".

That says that he believed he was a target no matter where he went. I'm sure there's more to the story about the man who shot & killed the 2 men.

I'm a little late to this party, but when shooters use this term, it often means that they want someone to watch the targets (with binoculars) while they shoot, to help keep track of how accurate they are getting. It saves time and lets a shooter focus on the shot.

Not sure if this is what he might have meant or not.

I do not understand what his house has to do with what he said.

Where I disagree with MM, if I understand him correctly, is that war action should ever be a fair fight when two factions come against one another.

Where I think he is coming from is where one enters a country suddenly with intent to kill and overtake. Fairness went out the window from the beginning and is irrelevant.

Remember, it was for the oil and profit that we invaded. You can write "heroic" and "selfless" and all those nice words all over it but the bottom line is those words are all we common folk have to hang on to to tell ourselves it was honorable, never mind that young men and women of ours and theirs died in the thousands for that oil and profit that materialized for only a select few.

While many may agree with your opinions above, I am not one of them.

Interesting. He did have to vets at the end of the movie, one shooting and one with binoculars watching the target.

It has nothing to do with what he said. I just remember that I read he had a huge house.
