Where in NYC was this held?

An event space on Park Ave.  The same place that Dennis' Fashion Week runway show was earlier in the day.

Tori--

Please read my input with an open mind. I do not say the Q must change for me. I'm simply giving my input or take on last night's "fiasco"-- again, my opinion. I'm actually very disappointed in the direction the Q is taking. Ive shopped for many years and was very supportive but the new direction is actually unappealing to me. I feel confident in myself that I don't need someone to tell me every few minutes that I'm fabulous. I just want to know about the products and decide if I want it or not. I don't want the theatrics and the competition between hosts, between hosts and designers, it all seems distracting.

Again, I choose to put this out there to see if there are others who recall not so long ago the Q without the magnum marketing mania, and guess what, I bought more then!

Thank u for listening

I wasn't directing my comments at you per se, so I'm sorry you took them personally.  Again, I have no issue with anyone and everyone sharing every kind of opinions here--positive or negative.

I see you are new to these boards, so to give a little background, there are many people here who share your exact opinion which again is ok.  They have been very consistent in that feedback and definitely don't like the direction QVC is going in.

However, many of the detractors are very vocal about not shopping here or watching anymore so that's what I find so ironic.  I'm not one of them, in fact the exact opposite, but but it's still funny to me that they even tune in at all and have such strong opinions about something they dislike so much on that very entity's website.

It was so nice Mally dressed for the occasion. All you have to do is give Shawn a "spotlight" to take all class away from the show!

The audience looked like cardboard fixtures. I guess they were astounded just like others, wondering what in hades?

Re: Runway show in NEW YORK CITY

So much talk about the audience.  What I saw is an audience that seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.  They also behaved like they should during a fashion show, even a fashion show set up by QVC.

You can go online and watch real fashion shows.  Just watch the Dennis Basso Fashion Week show that was earlier in the day.

During the show, the audience sits with decorum, sometimes nodding or sometimes smiling, but always remaining poised in their seats.  They don't sit there laughing non-stop; they're looking at the clothes.  They know the protocol for these shows is to not provide any distractions so the models and fashions are the show.

What did some expect from the audience -- to do the wave like at baseball games?  Run up the aisle?  Throw t-shirts back & forth like at basketball games?

@Caaareful Shopper  Yes, this! 👆🏻 I felt the same way. It amazes me how people see and interpret things differently. I thought the audience was well-heeled, interested and partook in the festivities when asked. I don't think the audience was bored at all.

I can't believe this thread is still up. Why don't those who don't like a certain show host, vendor, or product just change the channel? Personally I enjoyed the entire show very much. Well done Q!

People are allowed to post their OPINION of a show, vendor, or a product just like YOU do. Changing the channel - same old, same old comment.

Yet you answer every post that you don’t like! Where is the joy?

Let people vent, it’s ok.

@manny2

who said folks can't vent?

are you making up stuff?

i am venting......

Making stuff up? About who you? I don’t know you. How can I do that? @TheMemphisVette

We don’t change the channel for the same reason you comment rather than skip over the thread.

It’s human nature to discuss and yes to complain.

One can dislike the format but still shop if one wants particular items that are offered by QVC.

Way to welcome a newcomer!

Re: Runway show in NEW YORK CITY

Didn't watch it but then I don't watch the Q or shop the Q - just read about others who do.

But I do wonder why a retailer would think this is a proper way to showcase merchandise.  What if we walked into a department store and this nonsense was going on?   Would it encourage us to shop or make us run for the exits?
