Roselli’s beef Wellington has anyone tried this? how was it? Thinking of ordering it for the holidays but I'd like some reviews first. Thank you

Re: Roselli’s beef Wellington

I saw on the 'recently aired' that they have a Wellington product in the Rastelli's line.   If that is what you're looking at,  I've not tried that particular item but the Rastelli's products I have purchased over the years have always been good.

I love beef Wellington...my favorite restaurant quit serving it many years ago.  I would love to find a good substitute.

@Beejayb - I ordered this and we had it for a special occasion. Everyone in my family loved it! I think it's a really good value for the price.  Smiley Happy

Re: Roselli’s beef Wellington

@Beejayb  Unfortunately my husband and I were dissatisfied with Rastelli's Beef Wellington. It was soggy and I did not care for the sauce inside the pastry. I wouldn't buy it again.
I think this particular meal is better served at a restaurant.

I have purchased his filet mignon and enjoyed those.

Re: Roselli’s beef Wellington

Sadly, my husband and I were very disappointed in this food item. The pastry was soggy and the steak was not the quality we paid for. Will never order this again.

Was waiting for other comments - agree with 2 posters & never order again.

Same reason - soggy - wet steak and you can't eyeball how the steak is doing - still raw - half raw - whatever.  The mushroom blanket is terrible and keeps it all soggy.

Have had in 4 star restaurants and much better. Perhaps never frozen = fresh cut beef.

Re: Roselli’s beef Wellington

Years ago, Kansas City Steak Company had Beef Wellingtons here (QVC). I bought them on occasion and loved them. They were never soggy, but I used a baking sheet that had holes in it. Then, placed another sheet underneath to catch any liquids. Air was able to circulate underneath while they baked. I also brushed on an egg wash to get the top golden brown.

The ones that they showed today (ITKWD) did look soggy underneath.

Perhaps it is all in the way they are baked and "rested" afterwards?

Thank you all for your answers. I think I'll pass and eat them out as was suggested.

If Kansas City has them again I will try them. I have their hamburgers on order delivery And really like them.
