Awww.

I had a bit part in a movie with him, once.

He was SO kind to everyone.

One day, we ended up both getting our hair done for an upcoming scene in adjoining chairs.

He was SO interested in the stylists.

Talked (in a quiet way) with everyone, wanted to know about their lives.

@1Professor Thank you for sharing that with us! That is so believable of him, as that is exactly what I'd figure he was like in real life. ❤️

I also loved him in "The Slipper and the Rose".  Maybe not too many remember that, but I have it on dvd, I loved it so much.  Great singing and acting.

"The Thorn Birds" was wonderful, but a bit heart-wrenching.

I was in the 7th grade when Dr. Kildare and Ben Casey were two new hit shows on TV.  And it was always like "who's your favorite?"  There was a thing floating aroundin junior high called a "slam book" and that was one of the major questions.   I don't know who was more popular, but Dr. Kildare was my choice.

I think it was in the 90's I saw him on stage (Pittsburgh, Heinz Hall) in a production of My Fair Lady.  It was sold out and oh, he still looked so good.  What a heart throb.  Naturally, he was Henry Higgins.

And I've just remembered that he was in a TV movie, "The Man in the Iron Mask".  Loved that film, too.

I loved him as Jason Bourne in the TV mini-series of "The Bourne Identity" with Jacyln Smith. Matt Damon couldn't hold a candle to Richard Chamberlain. Such a fine man and actor. RIP.
