I don't know. I've never used the Galaxy but if it had been the TSV before the LG, I would have bought it. It was also $10 cheaper as a TSV. This is my third LG phone and I've never had a problem with one.

I have a Tracphone, and it is strictly for in case of an emergency or I am traveling.

Thanks for the response.... I didn't want to get rid of my flip but it finally died...I bought this just to get the idea of using a "smart phone" ...

I bought the LG Optimus Dynamic 2 over Memorial Day weekend from the other channel and I'm liking it a lot so far. It's definitely not for people who text a lot, since the Android Tracfones use 1 minute per text sent and received, as opposed to the non-Android Tracfones, which use 3 texts sent and received per 1 minute.

I would love to see Tracfone lump the talk and text minutes into 1 bucket. Or maybe have a text airtime card like they have a data card. I think that area needs some more work since texting is so popular today. I've used about 40 texting minutes so far, but only 2 talking minutes. I haven't even set up my voicemail box yet because I keep forgetting.

I had no trouble transferring my phone number and 900 minutes from my old LG 840G to the LG Optimus Dynamic 2. Everything went smoothly. I called an automated number to get a PIN number and did everything else online. If I ever have issues I use Tracfone's live chat instead of calling.
