Not retirement age, but I don't get how anyone can't remember the season just because you live in a warmer climate. I've lived most of my life in a warm climate ( SO CA, AZ, LA, TX) and I've always known what season it is. It's not like winter is the same as summer, even in FL which I've also been to.

I retired from teaching 3 years ago; after 35 years of having a bell to tell me what time it is, etc, I had a very hard time figuring out how to manage my time during what was formerly the school week. I prefer to think of everyday as Saturday!

I bought a small spiral-bound calendar and leave it out on my kitchen table. I put everything on it......really. I don't think having trouble remembering times/dates has anything to do with age; it has to do with no longer being on a strict daily schedule.Freedom!

I'm newly retired.  I have a monthly planner (prefer to see the whole month at a glance) and check it before I go to bed each night so I'm ready for the next day's appts if I have any.  My life is much calmer now and I actually feel more organized than when I worked.  And I go to the gym much more often and can go when it's not crowded, which is so nice!
