I knew I wanted to retire when I wanted to move to another state. I had 22 years at the school district & a job I loved, but loved my grandkids more. I asked for & received 2 additional years credit on my pension amount. I missed work & did work part time for 2 years. I decided I wanted to enjoy retirement & not work until I was too old to do anything for enjoyment.

I just decided last week to retire on Sept 1. I just knew the time was right. You will know. It just came to me and it brought a smile to my face. Of course, there is some anxiety as to what we will do with ourselves. But we plan to travel while we can and just do what we want. We are happy and healthy and plan to stay that way. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}
