Re: Rest In Peace Gloria Vanderbilt

RIP Gloria V.

Such a loss.  She certainly lived a long, interesting life.

I too am a fan of her jeans and are wearing a pair today. In fact, most of my jeans and capris are GV.

RIP.

LOL? People called her poor little rich girl because of the very sad circumstances of her young life.

The irony is sometimes one can live too long, a year sooner and she probably would have just gone to sleep instead of having to endure the pain of cancer.  My MIL lived to 99, began to sleep a lot then just didn't wake up one day.

@mousiegirl

I have to agree with you.

My dad died at age 92.

He outlived every male on his side of the family by at least 10 years.

Physically, he was healthy as a horse, but it was that damm dementia that got him in the end.

He had outlived his own brain.

I hate that awful, awful disease.

It steals the soul of its victim.

Anyhow, Anderson Cooper has a Twitter account, and I tweeted him my deepest condolences.

I wore them in high school, back in the 1980's, because they were designer jeans that weren't too terribly expensive, and they were comfortable.

@ValuSkr:  LOL???  I'm going to assume you aren't aware of the significance of that phrase. It's no laughing matter.

@Diva on The Q   I was referring to the rich girl comment.  Which she was.  And she had a rich girl's life, with rich girl drama.
