In a effort to not take over another thread I am starting this one, we have discussed this before, but there are always new posters on board, so.........what do you think adults owe their elderly parents? Should they do everything from finances, to home upkeep, helping with personal needs, etc or do they owe them anything at all.
I do think a lot of it depends on the relationship. Some couldn't bear the thought of not doing everything for their parents, others cannot bear the thought of being with their parents that much. Please don't bash anyone, everyone has a different experience and when it comes to the parents who raised us, no one had a choice.
I don't think there is a legal obligation, but most say there is a moral one, what do you think?
