How do you get rid of tiny ants?

I noticed some ants last night. {#emotions_dlg.ohmy} They're very tiny. What's the best way to get rid of them? Is there a product where they go in, eat some poison and don't come back out? Thanks for any info, I've never really had this problem before. We've had a lot of rainy days in North Jersey the past few weeks, maybe they're looking for food and shelter?
