Got curious and Googled.  He was married to two Gabor sisters!  As Noel posted, his illnesses probably contributed to his thoughts of suicide.

I remember hearing that his last words prior to suicide were that he was "bored with life."  Very sad.

Actually, he was married to Zsa Zsa and then her mother.  That second  marriage lasted only a month before he divorced her.

You are abolutely CORRECT, my error.  I wish I could post their wedding picture, they both looked stoned.  Which they probably were!
