@Drythe   Well said!!

just because you are proud to be an american doesnt have to mean you are  also proud of the decisions being made.....or NOT being made..... or being proud of the people at the helm.

@sunshine45  Sometimes I don't understand why people think you aren't a great American or not proud to be one if you don't agree with the in charge people. Aren't we a free country that luckily has the right to vote for the candidate of their choice? I suppose those who tell other posters they don't love America, didn't love it themselves a number of years ago.

Looks like my 1 word post somehow said a lot more than it was intended. It's amazing how one simple word is interpreted so differently by many.

I wish better policies were put in place too early on; policies such as everyone needs to be wearing a mask and protecting the eyes but many here have forgotten that masks were not available to the general public early on.  We were told by the Surgeon General to stop buying them because they were needed by healthcare...even told that we were being selfish then too until businesses were told not to sell them to the general public. Do you remember going to Amazon and seeing those messages?  It wasn't until fabric masks were produced that we could order them en masse.

It was recently reported that only 30% of patients that came into the ER in NY presented a fever.  The mass hysteria of placing thermal imaging cameras everywhere and requiring temperature checks seems useless plus it won't read anything for someone not showing symptoms.  Also, airports are still allowing people to board even if their camera show a fever as long as they are wearing a mask.  Heard that in the news yesterday.

I'm inclined to strongly doubt many politicians have any idea there was a pandemic in 1918, much less know what happened during it. It's an embarrassment who we vote for. They can't even take advice from specialists who've studied pandemics all their lives.

My response was defined by your post in combination with

that of @Hoovermom

I don't think that I misinterpreted the meaning, but if you say that I did, then I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

But, as my post was only about me and my feelings, obviously I stand by them.

I am and will always be a Patriot of America, as I believe you are, as such I wish you Cindy and the Kitties...

Hi @Drythe,

My 1 word had nothing to do with me questioning anyone's Patriotism. I've known you here long enough to know when you post something you mean what you say, and if you ever make a mistake, you correct it.

We have differing opinions on a few things and we both move on. Wanted to let you know that I was never questioning anyone's Patriotism.

Back at you with your best wishes to us here.

@sunshine45 :  I have never been blind to all the decisions made by any administration, simply saying that I am a proud America....no slant at anyone else...don't really know anyone on these boards.  Hope you had a great 4th!!!
